I am a postdoctoral fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. I finished my PhD in 2016, entitled “Impeditive sensor of superparamagnetic nanoparticles and its application to PSA quantification“. This work deals with a new method of detection of superparamagnetic nanoparticles and its application for detection of biological entities, as cells or proteins. The application of biosensors implies several disciplines like biology, medicine, chemistry, physics and engineering, therefore it was a multidisciplinary thesis. At the same time, I have been highly implicated in Science Communication. I have given talks in schools, pubs and even a TEDx. Also, I have been interviewed and consulted by local and regional media. With some friends we created an astronomy club (called Clear Skies) and organized star parties and other public events with high attendance. View all posts by David Lago-Cachón
